President Masum Congratulates the liberation of Tal Afar and the entire province of Nineveh

H.E. Dr. Fuad Masum the President of the Republic congratulated today Thursday August 31, 2017, the Iraqi people and the entire world on liberating the city of Tal Afar in all its aspects and the entire province of Nineveh from the control of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, he saluted the leaders, officers and soldiers of our armed forces for their heroism and efficiency and their hopes in achieving this historic victory, which today culminated in the liquidation of the terrorist remnants in the Ayadiyah district, praising the heroism and sacrifice of all formations. He also affirmed Iraq's determination to move forward towards the total elimination of terrorism and the return of displaced people and the reconstruction of all liberated areas.
While President Masum valued the role of the international coalition and the support of the friendly countries and peoples in defeating the gangs of ISIS, he directed to pay a special attention to the families of the martyrs, treating the wounded and protecting the civilians and the displaced.

“We congratulate our noble Iraqi people and the entire world on liberating the city of Tal Afar and the entire province of Nineveh from the control of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, we also salute the leaders, officers and soldiers of our armed forces for their combat efficiency and their dedication in achieving this historic victory that today culminated in the liquidation of terrorist remnants in the Ayadiyah district, as we praise the heroism and sacrifice of all formations and we affirmed our determination to move forward towards the total elimination of terrorism without stopping and the return of displaced people and the reconstruction of all liberated areas.
While appreciating the role of the international coalition and supporting of the friendly countries and peoples of Iraq in defeating the criminal gangs of ISIS, he called on the concerned authorities to pay a special attention to the families of martyrs, and treat the wounded and to protect civilians and displaced persons.”
