The President of the Republic Receives the Sudanese Ambassador to Iraq

H.E. Dr. Fuad Masum the President of the Republic received Mr. Mohammed Omar Musa the Sudanese ambassador on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad, this morning, Sunday, October 8, 2017.
During the meeting, His Excellency pointed out the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing on joint efforts to develop these ties, particularly in the field of counterterrorism. The President wished the Sudan further stability and progress in its democratic process, especially after lifting part of the sanctions that were imposed on it.
President Masum also commended the efforts of Ambassador Mohammed Omar in enhancing relations and cooperation between Iraq and the Sudan, wishing him success in his future missions.
For his part, the ambassador extended condolences of the Sudan as government and people, to President Masum on the death of the late President Mam Jalal, considering him as a symbol of national unity.
He reiterated the Sudan's keenness to concerted efforts to develop horizons of cooperation between the two brotherly countries at all levels. The Sudanese ambassador expressed his thanks to the President of the Republic for his continued support to activate bilateral relations between Iraq and the Sudan.
