The President of the Republic Ratifies the Law of Commemorating the Sacrifices of the Martyrs of the War Against the Terrorist Gangs of ISIS, and Expediting the Completion of their Transactions and Taking Intensive Care of their Wounds

H.E. Dr. Fuad Masum the President of the Republic ratified the (Law of Commemorating the Sacrifices of the Martyrs of the War Against the Terrorist Gangs of ISIS, and Expediting the Completion of their Transactions and Taking Intensive Care of their Wounds, which was approved by the House of Representatives earlier.
The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic pointed out that the law, which was ratified by the President of the Republic in accordance with the provisions of Item (61) of Article (61) and Item III of Article (73) of the Constitution, aims to expedite the completion of transactions of martyrs' families  of members of the armed forces in the holy battle against the terrorist gangs of ISIS and grant them their legal benefits stipulated in the legislation in force during a limited period in fulfillment of the sacrifices made by the martyrs and the heroic deeds of courage and pride in defense of land, honor and sanctities and to provide intensive care for the treatment of wounded and the injured and those with special needs.
The Office noted that Article II stipulates that what is meant by a martyr for the purposes of this law is members of all formations of the armed forces, including the Popular Mobilization and those associated with it of tribal volunteers, the Peshmerga, and civilians who have been martyred during operations to confront exclusively the terrorist gangs and added to them those who have been martyred while providing Logistics support and media personnel who were martyred during their coverage of operations, noting that the law has been sent for publication in the Official Gazette.
