Press Statement from the Presidency of the Republic over the bombing of camps in Quesengq

The media office of Dr. Fuad Masum the President of the Republic said that the attack on the camps of the families and the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran in the city of Quesengq in Erbil province represents a serious escalation and a flagrant violation of the country's security.
The office explained that the President of the Republic is deeply saddened and concerned that the incident caused a large number of deaths and injuries of unarmed civilians, most of them women and children, considering that the choice of excessive force is not a fruitful way or substitute for a peaceful dialogue, and appreciates the understanding of the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran to open door of dialogue and understanding with national forces for the benefit of the people and the friendly Iranian state.
