The President Receives the Head and Members of the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce


President Barham Salih highlighted the need to address the obstacles and problems that impede the work of the private sector thus to develop its various sectors in order to reach building a strong and cohesive economy.
His Excellency received Mr. Abdul Razzaq al-Zuhairi, the Head of the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce, members of the Federation, and Heads of Provincial Chambers of Commerce, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad, Monday, May 6, 2019.
The President stressed on the importance of enhancing the role of the private sector as well as allowing and involving it in the process of construction and reconstruction through providing climates for economic and investment opportunities in addition to the private sector’s role in supporting the government program adopted by the Prime Minister.
President Salih articulated that Iraq is a rich country with human capabilities and expertise as well as natural resources, which give wide horizons for the private sector. 
His Excellency asserted the necessity for the private sector’s pursuit to establish positive relations with its counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries as well as to benefit from their expertise in various fields.
For his part, the Head of the Federation explained the Provincial Chambers of Commerce’s activities and their contribution to the economic dynamic in the country. 
He valued the President's support for the private sector to take its full role.
