The President Attends Trilateral Meeting with the Jordanian King and the Palestinian President in Amman


A trilateral meeting was held at the Basman Palace in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Thursday, May 23, 2019, which included President Barham Salih, the Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, touched upon the deep-rooted brotherly and historical Iraqi, Jordanian, and Palestinian ties, as well as the latest regional developments. 
The trilateral meeting covered the Palestinian cause and stressed the need to support Palestinian brothers in realizing their legitimate rights and establishing their independent State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on various issues in a way that serves Arab issues and enhances security and stability in the region was also stressed.
President Salih, King Abdullah II, and President Abbas underscored the need to unify positions and promote joint Arab action to overcome the challenges and crises facing the Arab nation.
His Majesty the King hosted an iftar in honor of President Salih and the Palestinian President, attended by senior officials from the three countries.
