The President delivered the speech of Iraq, in which His Excellency emphasized that "the region needs stability based on a system of common security that is dependent on respect for sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and renunciation of violence and extremism."
“The consolidation of stability in Iraq requires cooperation and understanding of our brothers, neighbors and friends, which makes it imperative for all our brothers to support us and stand by our side because Iraq is one of the most important pillars of the region”, the President added.
President Salih said, “Any clash in our region will endanger the security of Iraq. From this point on, out of our Iraqi interest, out of our keenness on the security of the region, and our keenness on the security of our brothers as well as the Arab national security, Iraq will do its utmost to open the door to constructive dialogue, and stresses the need to adopt direct dialogue and renounce violence and war.”
