The President Receives the Turkish Minister of Trade

President Barham Salih received the Turkish Minister of Trade Ms. Ruhsar Pekcan and her accompanying delegation, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
His Excellency asserted the necessity of the economic integration and the development of infrastructure linkages as a way to achieve peace, security and prosperity among the countries of the region.
The President referred to the importance of enhancing and expanding the level of trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey, as well as the Turkish companies’ contribution to the reconstruction of Iraq and the country’s benefiting from their expertise in various areas thus ensuring the revitalization of the Iraqi economy and help in providing employment opportunities.
For her part, Ms. Ruhsar Pekcan touched on the taken Iraqi measures on Turkish exports to Iraq.
The Turkish Minister of Trade highlighted the importance of expanding the prospects of cooperation in all fields and in way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
