The Political Leaders' Meeting Values Popular Mobilization's Sacrifices and Supports Implementing of Order 237

H.E. President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih hosted the fourth periodic meeting of the political leaders in the presence of the Prime Minister Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi and Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mr. Mohamed Al- Halbousi, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad on Monday July 15, 2019. 
Political, security and economic situations in the country were deliberated at the meeting. Emphasis was placed on the need to enhance efforts for delivering services, support the government to implement its programme, combat the endemic corruption in the State's installations, reconstruct of liberated cities, return of displaced persons to their homes, as well as discussing the enhancing of Iraq's external relations.     
The participants valued the Popular Mobilization's sacrifices and support implementing of Diwani Order No. 237, which emphasizes the constitutional principle to monopolize the arms by the State and gets along with the document (the National Framework for a Unified Iraqi Policy) which was issued by the leaders of the political blocs.
All sides stressed the need to resolve the outstanding issues between the Federal and the Kurdistan Regional Government in accordance with the constitutional mechanisms, as they welcomed the announcement of the new government in the Kurdistan region, and called for strengthening relations and activating cooperation in all fields.
They asserted that the Constitution and the laws in force are the framework under which the different political forces are acting regardless of their support or opposition to the current policies, stressing the importance of consolidating national unity and enjoying Iraqis their national wealth on the basis of the values of justice, the national balanced and reject of imposing the partisan quota within state's installations.  
During the meeting, International and Regional situations were discussed. It also has been agreed that Iraq's sovereignty, stability, prosperity and its balanced and upward role in its regional and international relations are national priorities. 
The participants renewed their refusal to turn Iraq into a zone for aggressing against any neighboring country, and demanded everyone in return to respect Iraqi sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of the states.
They called upon the brothers, friends and the international community to support the Iraqi state in its unwavering striving to establish stability, fight extremism, activate reconstruction efforts in the liberated areas, and contribute effectively to attain international peace and security.
