President Receives Australia's Governor-General David Hurley
President Salih received today at the Presidential Palace in Baghdad the Governor-General of Australia David Hurley.
The President and the Governor-General examined strengthening of mutually friendly relations and the prospects for cooperation and partnership between the two countries across all the fields to serve the interests of both peoples.
The President commended Australia's role in the Global Coalition and its support for Iraq in the war against terror, stressing the importance of its contribution to reconstruct the liberated cities.
Together, they discussed developments in the regional and international situations further to the events and issues of common concern.
