President Receives the Credentials of the Newly Appointed Ambassadors of India and Belgium to Iraq


President Salih today at the Presidential Palace in Baghdad received letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of India Mr. Birender Singh Yadav and new Belgian Ambassador Mr. Filip Vanden Bulcke as well.
The President stressed the importance of strengthening friendly relations and expanding the prospects for constructive cooperation in all fields, noting that Iraq builds its foreign relations on the basis of respect for national sovereignty furthermore, to serving the common interests of our people and friendly peoples so as to achieve peace, progress and prosperity.
The President praised the bilateral relations between Iraq, India and Belgium, wishing all the best and every success to the two Ambassadors in performing their diplomatic functions for enhancing ties and mutual cooperation.
The two Ambassadors, in their turn, reiterated their countries' eagerness to support Iraq's stability and security. Supporting efforts undertaken to combat terrorism in addition to prevail international peace and security, they underlined.
