President Welcomes Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fa'iq Zidan


President Salih received today at the Presidential Palace in Baghdad the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fa'iq Zidan.
Together, the President and Judge Fa'iq Zidan discussed the role of the Iraqi judiciary in establishing justice and law enforcement by settling corruption files as well as punishing those who harm, embezzle, misuse, waste the public funds.
They, jointly, agreed and emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between the three authorities to review the laws in force and work on preparing the laws and legislations required by the next stage.
Emphasis was placed on the principle of separation of powers in addition to providing full support for an independent judiciary to deliver social justice.
