President, Meeting Egypt's Ambassador, Underlines that Iraq Firmly Stands with the Fraternal States on all the Crucial Issues


President Salih received today at the Baghdad Palace Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Alaa Mousa, who conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's greetings to President Salih and his wishes to Iraq for further progress and prosperity.
The President confirmed that Iraq supports Egypt in its endeavor to protect its water rights on the issue of the Renaissance Dam, and in such a manner as preserves its interest and its water security.
He added that I closely watched   the recent development in the situation of Libya in addition to its impact on the region at large.
Furthermore, the President reaffirmed Iraq's firm stance to stand with the Arab Fraternal States regarding all the crucial issues.
It's essential to adopt the political solution as well as respecting the will of the Libyan brothers so as to bring peace and stability in Libya and to steer the region away from the war which has the worst outcomes, he added.
His Excellency President Salih asked the Ambassador to convey its greetings to President El-Sisi, and to all Egyptian people for having further progress and well-being.
Mr. Mousa, in turn, stressed Egypt's keenness to consolidate relations with Iraq and to improve cooperation to include all fields in the service of common interests.
The recent developments on the issue of the Renaissance Dam in addition to Egypt's attitude on the situation in Libya were also reviewed by the Egyptian Ambassador.
