President Exchanges Eid al-Adha's Greetings with Number of Leaders of Arab, Islamic Countries

During telephone conversations on Friday, President Salih exchanged Eid greetings with a number of leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha.
Over the phone calls, His Excellency President Salih exchanged Eid Al-Adha's greetings with His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, President of Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, king of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty king Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Moreover, he expressed his best wishes and his sincere congratulations, and wished them would have good health and happiness, and asked the Almighty to return this blessed occasion for their brotherly and friendly Nations and States with having good health, happiness and peace.
 Their Majesties, Their Excellences and Their Highnesses, in their turn, congratulated President Salih on the advent of Eid al-Adha, and asked the Almighty to give the Iraqi people the safety, stability and well-being.
They discussed the ways of strengthening relations between Iraq and fraternal and friendly States, and reaffirmed the importance of enhancing regional security.
However, they believe that it is necessary to enhance coordination and working together so as to serve the prosperity and advancement of the peoples.
It was stressed that States' sovereignty and security should be respected as it is in the shared interest of all the countries, and brings stability to the region.
Increasing cooperation to combat coronavirus and reduce its epidemiological effects which would get back the normal lives to these countries was also discussed.
