President, Meeting Baghdad Mayor, Underscores that it is Necessary to Deliver Better Services to Baghdad and Protect its Historical and Cultural Heritage


President Salih welcomed today at the Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad the Mayor of Baghdad Mr. Alaa Maan.
At the outset of the meeting, the President said that Iraq's Capital needs to be shown at a great level which is commensurate with its historical and cultural heritage. 
To do so, we have to step up our efforts to advance Baghdad, in keeping with the great position that it deserves, preserving the great architectural art of its streets and its premises as well as rendering better services to its population, he added.
His Excellency President Salih was briefed by the Baghdad's Mayor about the functioning of the Baghdad Mayoralty and its future plans.
In the same vein, the President confirmed his support for every effort which would help deliver better services to the Metropolitan population.
Mr. Maan in turn, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the President for his attention paid to support and develop Baghdad in addition to uplifting the reality of Capital's situation regarding the service and architecture.
