Iraqi President Receives a cable of Condolences from Turkey's President


On Thursday, January 21, 2021, President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih received a cable of condolences from President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In the cable, he expressed his condolences to the Iraqi President on the victims of the twin suicide bombings rocked a busy market in central Baghdad Al -Tayaran Square on Thursday, morning.
The text of condolences is as follows:
Dear President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih,
I am deeply saddened to hear about the news that the two suicide bombings hit Iraqi Capital Baghdad, and claimed the lives of dozens of people and injured others.
I strongly condemn the brutal terrorist attack. I renew, once again, Turkey's firm stance to stand beside the fraternal and friendly State, Iraq in its war against terrorism.
We pray to Allah to grant those who lost their lives the eternal rest in peace, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
On my own behalf and on behalf of Turkish people, I extend my condolences to you and to the friendly and fraternal people of Iraq.
