The President of the Republic Receives the Head of Al-AGraa Tribe and the Family of the Deceased Engineer Thamer Al-Garawi

H.E. Dr. Fuad Masum the President of the Republic received Sheikh Mohammed Abdulameer Al Shaalan the Head of Al-AGraa tribe, Sheikhs of clans and relatives of the deceased Engineer Thamer Al-Garaawi Al-Shammari the Assistant Director General of Al-Dora Municipality who was killed during a painful incident in one of the checkpoints of the operations of Baghdad forces in al- Dora area, at the Presidential Office in Baghdad, this morning, Tuesday August 29, 2017.
While His Excellency expressed condolences to the clan and the family of the late deceased and expressed his deep sorrow and pain for the great loss of Mr. Al-Garaawi's murder, he stressed that the rule of law must prevail in dealing with this incident. The President asserted the need for no political or external interference, whatever it was, in the judicial action on this issue. He also instructed to take into account the full rights of the victim.
For their part, the Head of the Al-AGraa tribe, the Sheikhs of the clans and the family of the deceased valued the stance of the President of the Republic and his efforts to the realize the truth and respect the law as well as his efforts to entrench the values and principles of the societal reconciliation and, his relentless efforts to build an advanced Iraq where peace and brotherhood prevails among all its people regardless to their ethnical or sectarian backgrounds. They firmly rejected any political or self-interest trading in this tragedy.
