Iraqi President ratifies law on pension rights of the members of Ministry of Health died by COVID-19
The President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih ratified law on
pensions rights of the members of the Ministry of Health belonging to the medical, health and administrative staff who died in the line of duty as a result of addressing COVID 19.
While officially endorsing the law, President Salih said that the
approval of the law comes to hail and pay tribute to the ultimate
sacrifices made by the medical, health and administrative staff of the Ministry
of Health, those who do everything in their power to protect citizens, preserve
public health and address the challenges presented by coronavirus.
Furthermore, the endorsing comes to guarantee a decent life for the deceased persons'
families and ensure their pension rights.
The President ratified the law after being voted and sent by the
Iraqi Parliament.
