Iraqi President Salih Receives Coronavirus Vaccine


On Monday night, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih received a dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while underscoring that the medical efforts saving lives and preventing infection should be continued.
President Salih hailed the role played by the frontline workers and the medical staff, and paid tribute to their great sacrifices made over the past months to mitigate the epidemic's effects and save citizens' lives. He noted the importance of seeking to overcome the challenges that the medical staff faces and to provide their needs.
President Salih said that," Our people can get through this hardship, and they can manage to succeed the efforts being exerted by the medical staff through their commitment to the preventive measures that should be taken to prevent infection and protect society."
