Iraqi President congratulates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on his elections as the new President of the UAE

His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

On my behalf and on behalf of the people of Iraq, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to Your Highness on the occasion of your election as the new President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

We ask Allah Almighty to grant you success and prosperity in serving your nation and preserving its union under your wise leadership. We wish the brotherly UAE's people further progress and growth.

While once again mourning you and the people of Emirates on the passing of the late Shiekh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, I express to you our eagerness in Iraq as the people, the President, and the government to develop our brotherly relations with the UAE and how to boost them at every level in the ways that would most serve the both nations' ties, and chart the path for further cooperation, love and peace in the region.
