President Salih Meets Switzerland's Ambassador to Iraq
On Wednesday,
May 18, 2022, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with the
Swiss Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Lukas Gasser. The meeting was held at al-Salam
Palace in Baghdad.
Iraqi-Swiss ties were discussed during the
meeting, and the conversation focused on the need to develop these relations
across all sectors.
President Salih expressed his gratitude to
the Swiss Ambassador for his efforts made to further develop relations between
Iraq and Switzerland and wished him every success in the tasks entrusted to him.
Mr. Gasser thanked President Salih for his
efforts to further boost the ties between the two countries and emphasized
Switzerland’s eagerness to further enhance security and stability in Iraq, with
a focus on the need for enhancing bilateral relations at every level.
