President Rashid Receives the President of the Czech Republic's Congratulations
On Monday, October 24, 2022, the
President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received the Czech
Republic Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Peter Stepanek. The meeting was held at
al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.
Mr. Stepanek delivered a
congratulatory cable from the Czech President, Milos Zeman to His Excellency
President Rashid.
In the cable of con
congratulations, His Excellency President Zeman congratulate the Iraqi President
on being elected as the country's new President and highlighted his country's
eagerness to further promote ties between the two countries.
Iraq's President asked the Czech
ambassador to convey his greetings Czech President, in turn, while stressing
the need to advance the Iraqi-Czech relationship of cooperation in ways that
would most serve both nations' interests.
Efforts made and stances taken by Iraq and
Czech on regional and international
issues of common interest should be coordinated to promote regional and
international security and stability, Iraq's President said.
