Iraq's President Congratulates Chinese Xi Jinping on Being Elected General Secretary of CPC Central Committee

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid sent a cable of congratulations to the Chinese President, Xi Jinping on being elected general secretary of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

President Rashid's cable of Congratulations is as follows:
" His Excellency the President of the Republic of China,
On behalf of the people of Iraq and on my own behalf, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to your Excellency on being re-elected for a third term in power, as general secretary of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

I wish you all the best and every success, wishing all the friendly people of China further progress and prosperity.

I take this opportunity to affirm our country's eagerness to enhance the fruitful and constructive collaboration between Iraq and China, in the pursuit of the greatest stability, progress, and well-being for both nations' citizens as well as advance both countries' interests at every level.
