President Rashid Receives Jordanian King Abdullah II's Congratulatory Cable

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received a letter of congratulations from King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on being elected as the country's new President.

The following is a text of congratulations:
" His Excellency, Brother, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, God bless you, the President of the fraternal Republic of Iraq, 
Peace, Mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
I am pleased to send to my dear brother, sincere congratulations as I wish you all the best and every success, wishing all the Iraqi further progress and prosperity.

I assure you of Jordan's eagerness to advance further friendly relations between Iraq and Jordan. And these included expanding cooperation across all sectors and increasing collaboration on various regional issues in ways that would serve the two brotherly people's ties and the nation's issues as well.

 I reiterate Jordan's commitment to stand with Iraq to help ensure Iraq's security and stability.
