Under the Auspices of the President of the Republic, the Beloved Baghdad Afforestation Campaign Has Been Launched

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, (The beloved Baghdad Afforestation) campaign to plant trees in the central reservations of Baghdad roads including other public spaces such as Al-Jadriya Bridge Intersection in the neighbourhood of Saydiyah, has been launched.

Upon arrival at the place of the ceremony of launching the campaign, His Excellency President Rashid was received by the Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa Kazem, member of Parliament Hussein Muins, and various officials at the Mayoralty of Baghdad.

President Rashid has planted a tree that heralds the launch of the afforestation campaign of beloved Baghdad, aiming to refocus attention on the environment, climate, and agriculture as it’s the green lung of Baghdad, to promote the aesthetic value and reduce pollution in Baghdad.

The President said, " in God's name, we are announcing the launch of, (The beloved Baghdad Afforestation) campaign to develop the environmental and agricultural levels in Baghdad, in addition, to maintaining a sustainable environment and climate, ensuring a healthy life for the citizens and the future generation too".
