President Rashid Meets National Security Advisor


On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid met with National Security Advisor, Qassim Al-Araji, at the Baghdad Palace.

Recent developments in security related-matters in Iraq were discussed during the meeting, with a focus on the need to promote stability to ensure the safety of the Iraqi citizens and foster economic growth in the country.

His Excellency President Rashid spoke about his recent participation in the UN 2023 Water Conference, in New York as it’s crucial in addressing the global water crisis and finding fundamental solutions. The United Nations and the Heads of the participating delegations have shown great interest in helping Iraq to tackle the water crisis, HE, underlined.

The meeting's agenda included a discussion of the issues of displaced people, emphasizing the need to find a viable solution to their issues once and for all and to allow them to return to their homes after being rehabilitated and rebuilt.

National Security Advisor, Al-Araji reviewed recent security developments in the country and the plans set in motion to strengthen security and stability in the country and ensure the safety of the citizens.

Additionally, he emphasized that it is vital to intensify security and intelligence action in border control, while further efforts should be made to maintain security and the people's interest throughout the country, he added.
